![]() ![]() Thanks for your honest opinion ,and I really appreciate every reply because it helps to understand if I'm acting wrong. That's all correct if they were telling us they are sending us a draft and theeir customer service agents avoided using the word (cheque).Įverytime I closed a bank account in branch, they make it clear that they are giving me the money as draft and it can't be replaced if it's lost, but those customer service clowns kept saying cheques everytime my wife called over the last 4 months.Īnd they lied about the sending the replacements (2 times),we lost the first cheque,we called the, told me wife they are sending a second,no cheque in the mail, she called again (3rd time) they said they will send a new cheque and they don't know what's happened to the second cheque,my wife called 4th time and talked to a supervisor, they supervisor said the first one wasn't a cheque and it's a money draft and the the previous agents she talked to (2nd and 3rd time) had no power to send a replacements and they misspoken it when they said cheques instead of money drafts.Īnd if they really sent a replacements, wouldn't you think that they will ask my wife to sign an affidavit for the lost second and thirds replacement cheques too?. They mailed you a replacement (and it often takes longer for banks to be willing to replace a lost draft/money order than what they made you wait). They complied with YOUR request and mailed out a draft. They wanted to just put the funds into your account electronically which would have been quicker and obviously couldn't have been lost. You did.įrom what you've posted, I'm actually impressed with TD's customer service. They didn't "lie" as you have said, and they didn't screw up. Who should be responsible? The odds of it ever getting cashed are almost non-existent since it was actually in your home (and probably still is somewhere).įrom what you've posted, I'm actually impressed with TD's customer service. She's the one who lost it once it was in her possession. If me & my wife understood the supervisor correctly ,the forms they want us to sign is completely different,it's not about certifying we have.'t received it,it's certifying that my wife is responsible if the draft cashed by any person any time anywhere. If the forms TD wants my wife sign a form like the one you linked,I'd have asked my wife to sign it right away.
