I fear the problem is something to do either bios caching or ram caching or bios or ram shadowing. So your system is very capable of windows 10. of windows only will boot 32 bit installations and systems. Now I just build a new rig that has 32 gigs of ram ddr4 and Intel skylake 6700k, Asus maximus impact VIII it with USB 3.0 and 3.1 and all 64 bit capabilities and I'm having the same issues as you are and can't run any 64 bit version. Later I did a clean install of 8.1 to a blank drive and migrated that os to my new ssd card and then did the 10 free upgrade and voila. then I did the upgrade to 8.1 via the store app. then decided to buy downloaded version of windows 8 pro 64 bit so it installed over like an update. I ran first windows 7 ultimate 32 bit then I realised later it was capable of 64 bit so pirate version of 64 bit. How I went from a pirate w7 32 bit version to a 10 64bit version. runned and still runs smoothly with a Samsung EVO 1TB ssd. I had windows 10 64 bit running on a 3 GB Ram rig with a old gigabyte board and old dual core at 2.7 GHz. If I'm not convinced with the performance I might go back to Win 7 64-bit. I would like to understand why is this happening if from specs perspective and usage (had Win 7 64-bit installed for years).Įverything is working good for now but I want to test the system a little more before I can say this configuration is safe to use giving the issues. My conclusion is that there might be a compatibility issue with either my motherboard, my processor or both together I just could not find any documentation that could corroborate or deny my theory. I did not try to to install 64-bit since the setup forces me to re-partition using GPT partition scheme and 32-bit uses MBR so I would end up in square one again. This time everything installed smoothly, no hickups or anything. Then installed Windows 10 32-bit version. Turned off UEFI support on BIOS I had to since for some reason 32-bit installer was not booting up. After several restarts error returned to 0xc000000d. ![]() I recreated the install media on another USB using with 32-bit and 64-bit image.įirst tried to install 64-bit version but got a new error like missing some system file in windows directory I think it was error code 0xc0000007 not very sure. With the current install of Windows 32 bit being on there, can you try to upgrade to the 64 bit version? I have heard of some instances of this working. Either that or something is wrong with the install media. Windows 10 64-bit may not be compatible with your current setup whether it's hardware or the OS license you used. I don't understand where is the problem with Windows 10 64-bit. On systems details it says 32-Bit OS on 64-bit system. Even thou my E7400 is 64-bit capable with 4Gb ram which I has been running for years on 64-bit. In this case the setup did not ask me which version to install. The only way positive result was downloading the Installation USB with both 32-bit and 64-bit versions of Windows 10 pro. Re downloaded the Windows 10 Installation USB and retry installingĥ. Turned UEFI option on end off on BIOS with no sucess.Ĥ. I tried multiple times to install 64-bit version.ģ. I tried advanced tools since several forums linked that error code to a bad BCD:īootrec /rebuildbcd ->This one returned "Windows installations found : 0" everytimeĢ. I had Windows 7 64-bit installed on my machine and decided to go with the Windows 10 pro 64-Bit version but it always end on error 0xc000000d on first reboot.
